Semi-annual qualification in New Jersey

New Jersey law enforcement firearms qualification runs under the Attorney General's Semi-Annual Firearms Qualification and Requalification Standards for New Jersey Law Enforcement, issued in December 1989 and revised through June 2003, which every agency in the state is directed to adopt as its own policy. The standards define a semi-annual program as two prescribed qualification sessions within a 12-month period with at least three months between them. Handgun qualification includes a day course and a Handgun Night Qualification Course (HNQC), fired under low light conditions, natural or simulated, with a handheld or weapon-mounted light and a passing score of 80% or higher; shotgun qualification likewise has day and subdued light courses. The twice-yearly requirement was adjusted to a single round for 2020 and again for 2021 by Attorney General directives. The courses below are the versions modelled in BrassOps; confirm each against the current standards document before use.
